Feature Update – Term 4, 2023

February 16, 2024

We know how busy Term 4 can be at schools, so we’ll keep this quick as we bring you news of the latest features, and what’s to come for our School Fee Calculator.

New! Open in modal

A new option to embed the Fee Calculator on your website is now available – add a button which then opens the Fee Calculator in a ‘modal’ window or a pop-up ‘lightbox’.

This can be a handy way to include the Fee Calculator on your school fees webpage, or to embed on other relevant pages within your website such as enrolment pages.

Coming soon

The long anticipated Admin dashboard is around the corner. Thanks again for your patience as we work hard to create a place where you can access your data, detailed reporting, configuration options and other rich features into the future. We will have further updates on this exciting release soon.

Recent Feature Releases

Fee Indexation

In order to deliver an even richer experience for your families, and allow them to plan more effectively for the cost of education, we have now enabled a new ‘future year indexation’ feature.

Schools can now choose to add an index on future year fees. An increment can be set at a custom amount – it could be based on current CPI, or a typical YoY increase in fees for your school. The increase can be applied to tuition fees only, or also to other groups of fees, and this will roll out across future years as a fixed percentage.

To learn more or add this to your fee calculator, please get in touch with [email protected].

Parent Sentiment Survey

In order to deliver your school with rich data that can help to inform your strategy, we have released a new feature that places a link to a simple sentiment survey within the Feesable experience.

A new panel with the link appears on the app, and also in the fee estimate email sent to parents. The quick survey aims to gather information from parents on their feelings or sentiment towards the school fees they have just viewed, and the broader experience of the fee calculator. Learn more >

Optional Discounts

For those schools that have optional discounts available to families, we now have a new feature that will allow you to include these in your fee estimates. This discount can be applied to the whole family, or per student depending on how the discount works. Use cases might be for staff discounts, state government school card discounts, ministry discounts and more.

*Reminder – Installation Update

A few months back we also rolled out an update to the way the Feesable Fee Calculator is installed on your school website. The new method is more efficient and seamless with your school website, and overcomes some of the limitations of the traditional iframe embed.

This new installation method does not change the core functionality of the Fee Calculator – it simply changes the way it is added to your website. It also brings with it a number of benefits including native data in your Google Analytics reportingread the support article for more information.

For current customers, we encourage you to update in order to take advantage of the benefits – learn more about how to update.

Feature Pipeline

We have many other new features under development and on the roadmap – here are a few highlights of what is to come…
